Jesus Talks with the PhariseesThe second tier (from above) at the southern and northern walls of the cathedral is dedicated to the scenes, illustrating the enlightening mission of Christ, His miracles and healings. On the southern wall there are: Jesus Talks with the Pharisees; Jesus Talks with Peter and other Disciples; two compositions are dedicated to the theme of Jesus Christ in the house of Martha and Mary. The miracles and healings are represented in the next compositions: Teachings of Christ of a Prayer; Healing of the Man Oppressed by the Devil; Condemnation of Blaspheme against the Holy Spirit; Jesus Condemns the Pharisees and Teachers of the Law of Moses; Jesus Heals a Crippled Woman on the Sabbath.

This cycle is continued on the western and northern walls. The scenes there illustrate evangelic events preceding the Easter and the Passion of Christ.

The scenes on the northern wall are: The Washing the Feet of the Disciples; The Last Supper; Ascent of the Mount of Olives; The Agony in the Garden; the Arrest of Jesus (The Kiss of Judas); The Denial of the Apostle Peter; Trial by High Prirest (Jesus Christ before Annas and Caiaphas); The Judgement of Pilate. More scenes of this cycle are in the altar part of the cathedral hidden by the iconostasis.
